FEAR STREET (NETFLIX)- CURRENTLY PLAYING.

     A darker three film version based off of the popular R.L. Stein novels. This Netflix original film series is set in three different time periods that tell the dark tale of the curse that haunts a small American town and its inhabitants.

OLD- July 23

     Mr. M. Night Shyamalan returns with inspiration from the celebrated French graphic novel “Sandcastle.” Old tells the story of remote beachgoers who begin to suffer from rapid aging. Shyamalan has split horror hounds for years, but there is no questioning the artist talent for spinning interesting plot lines and intricate deceptive dialogue.

BLOOD RED SKY (NETFLIX)- JULY 23

     A group of terrorist attempt to hijack a flight, little do they know, a female passenger harbors a dark secret that can quickly send their plans crashing down. This Netflix original film’s trailer has gained quick attention with what looks like a new spin on an old monster tale.

DON’T BREATHE 2- AUGUST 13

     The sequel to the celebrated first film from horror icon Fede Alvarez has our favorite blind maniac playing father again. And once again, uninvited guest show up for a shocking surprise. Stephen Lang features again as Norman Nordstrom and Alvarez steps in to co-write along with original collaborator Rodo Saygues. Rodo takes the helm behind the camera, but will his style be enough to recreate the tense atmosphere and original genius that carried the first film?

CANDYMAN- AUGUST 27

     The over one year wait for one of horror’s biggest icons to return ends at the end of summer. Being listed as a spiritual sequel, this latest installment promises links to the original while brining new lore to the fold. Nia Decosta helms the direction from an original script from Oscar winning producer Jordan Peele. While the first trailer had horror fanatics licking honey from their lips, the latest trailer has caused some concern, as the origin story appears to be shifting from a love story to a more political tone. Will the film stray from its beloved roots or head into a more controversial subtext which may keep horror hounds at bay?

HALLOWEEN KILLS- OCTOBER 15

     Without a doubt, the return of the shape has been the most eagerly anticipated horror film of the year. David Gordon Green’s reimagining two years ago shocked the film world by bringing in over 250 million in gross sales. The first of two follow ups to that film comes this fall. Picking up right where the last film ended, Laurie and her family unite with the town of Haddonfield to try and kill off Michael once and for all. The latest trailer backs up Green’s promise to be the bloodiest Halloween film in the franchise. With homages galore and the return of franchise character favorites, “Halloween Kills” is shaping up to be the smash hit off the season.
