Fresh off of her strong performance in Massacre Academy, Christina Krakowski takes center stage in the highly anticipated Werewolf film, Wolf Hollow. Christina discusses the upcoming film and much more with us at Horror Nation.

HN: What is your favorite Werewolf film?

CK: I actually have not watched too many Werewolf movies. But there was an episode from the original Twilight Zone called, “The Howling Man” that I really enjoyed. After working on Wolf Hollow, I do have a new list of fur films that I am excited to watch.

HN: If you could play any role, at any time, from any horror film, which role would you have liked to portray?

CK: It is a tie. I love Laurie Strode, but also Sidney Prescott. I would have loved to be apart of either series. When I was younger I always wanted to be a final girl and I always thought Strode and Prescott were one of the best.

HN: The Werewolf suits in Hollow are epic. Was it intimidating being on set with those great monsters?

CK: The Werewolf outfits were so bada**! I’m not a tall girl, so standing next to the suit I was towered over entirely! I was so impressed with the detail to it as well.

HN: You portray the role of Alex. Alex has a tumultuous relationship with her director. Did you pull your performance from any similar experiences from any productions you have been in?

CK: Luckily for me, I have only had amazing experiences on set with directors. But there are definitely people I have crossed paths with in my life who I did not have the best relationships with or who have put me down, so it did make channeling that frustration a bit easier.

HN: Alex takes a massive blood bath at one point in the film. Can you tell us about that scene?

CK: I am still not able to watch ‘That Scene’ without gagging! Without giving too much away, I will say the major blood bath scene consisted of real animal guts at room temperature soaked in gallons of fake blood. For my good sportsmanship for doing the scene, my director, Mark Cantu, got a taste of his own medicine. After wrapping that day on set I got to dump the same concoction onto him!

HN: Any fun facts or behind the scenes stories about the production?

CK: There are so many stories I could tell about this production. In the movie, we are sweating in the RV scenes and that’s because when we were filming it was in the middle of summer. The RV had no air conditioning. So, the sweat and tiredness was definitely real!

Without giving spoilers, there was a scene where I was very emotionally distraught at the end of the film. My tears and sadness were very real, and we did about 10-15 take of that pure brokenness. It was one of the hardest, but most powerful days on set, knowing I was able to push myself as an actor and deliver on screen.

Without a doubt the best part of the whole production was working with the incredible cast and crew I have grown to love!
